Just ordered one direct.
Cheaper than anywhere else by $50
Don't see much talk about the CS1
Anyone who has one let me know
what you think about it.
Good?
Bad?
Hoping this will be a good first pump.

Hey Dave, born and raised just up the river from you, East Liverpool aria, you know, the good side of the river.
Bought one just like you did because of the 50.00 savings. I haven't used it much, filled my Origin about 4 times, takes between 2 and 3.5 minuets depending on state of charge. working fine so far.

Calcutta is where I went to school , raised on a farm between Calcutta and Fredericktown. They have a VA there now? Been 6 to 8 years sense I've been there.

Don't care for the little cigarette filter it has.
Ordered a TUXING molecular sieve for it.
Will leave the cotton filter as a final prior to fill probe.

So far I haven't found much moisture in the little filter just filling my rifle but, a larger filter would not hurt.

Hi Lee,
Couple of fillings in my new Avenger chasing down
a leak and the filter was pretty wet.
RH is only 30% in the house.
Trying to keep any water out.
Really like this pump so far.
Sieve will be here tomorrow.
Bought a couple of 5000psi 2 1/2inch gauges.
Need to fit it to QD connectors so I
can place it in line to keep an eye on pressures.
Need to see if the factory gauges are close.

Just FYI fellas... the bigger the filter you add the more you will add to your fill times... just sayin'.

And mini compressors like the CS1 (and my Spark) are best used for shorter runs and smaller fills.
There’s at least a few threads on moisture management sprinkled throughout the board. Mostly two groups—get every possible molecule out (some don’t even use air—they use nitrogen), and, use a small filter plus a few drops of silicone oil in the fill nozzle every few fills to keep an oil barrier on the air chamber (and the seals lubricated).

I started with Umarex RWS Air Gun Chamber Lube
and realized Silicone shock oil is the same thing but less expensive
and
I bought the heavier weight for o ring lube and the lighter one for air chamber fills. Pretty much using the lighter weight for everything though.

I thought I had read where shock oil was what some were using but, wasn't sure. Thank you for the info.

I’m curious how much time the molecular sieve filter added to your fill time ?

One has to take into account that the majority of the filter tubes volume is taken up by the filter medium. I Imagine if the tube was 100% sieve there would only be about 25% room for air

Just dead-heading the filter took about 4 1/2 to 5 minutes
from 0 to 4000psi.
