No oil should ever go inside your barrel or compression chamber even behind the piston, it will work it's way in front of the piston and cause your gun to diesel.....Your Barrel should have a good coat of lead on the inside if you have shot it more than 50 times since the last cleaning so no oil is needed there...Your compression chamber should be properly lubed, with grease and need no oil at all....Oils are fine for the outside of the gun....
