Source for seamless steel compression tubing?
subscriber:
Folks,
I am toying with the idea of extending the P17 pistol to a 12 ft.lb rifle.
The stock compression tube has an ID of 25 mm and an OD of 27 mm. Does anyone know where I might obtain a 20" length of such steel tubing, or similar; or who I can ask about it? A slightly smaller ID with a thicker wall could work, but a larger ID or OD complicates matters.
Thanks for any pointers.
Thanks to stalwart for a thread that is chock-full of useful P17 info; including how the compression tube seals to the valve body: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=49115.0

Strokers and MSPs will be quite straightforward to build. It's going to get diverse here.

Try here https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/mepages/4130tubing_un1.php 1"x .028 or .035wall will give a slightly smaller I.D. I'm sure a bit of lathe or hone work would get to the right dia. quickly.

FYI- www.onlinemetals.com has seamless stainless in english and metric sizes and you can buy by the foot. But I didn't see your particular size request - they have sizes that come kinda close, like 1.25OD x 0.065 wall. 2-ft is $49. Good luck!
