22 left when I last looked! .22 or .25 caliber available.

Okay, so I popped for one. I briefly had a Hatsan bullpup that I bought used, had to return it to the seller because it didn't work right. But I was very impressed by how the bullpup design really put the weight centered to the trigger hand. And since I sold my .25 Marauder I have all those pellets on my shelf that need something to do....
This will likely make me put my Weight Watchers Synrod up for sale, but that's the price of having fun! :-)
-
Let us know what you think Mark. I have one in .22, it's not lightweight, but it is compact. The thing is built like a tank, which seems to be how Hatsan rolls!
-
Hatsan design fundamental principles:
1. Make it uglier
2. Make it heavier.
;D
This is one of the few Hatsan guns I can stand to look at. And a few of the long guns they made in Turkish walnut.
-
They do handle well in CQ combat, wish my boss got a video of me tossing wood pallets aside, with one hand and keeping the BB at the ready with the other hand, to get at a woodchuck.

Same here. I paid $389 for a .25 refurb from them. Great gun though!

Story of my life...buy before the price drop... :o :o I wanted (and got) the .25 anyway, but the free shipping would have been nice. A bonus for me is that after I uploaded my DL and IL FOID they shipped it straight to my house! (you folks in free states won't know what FOID is, in IL a firearm owner must have a card to buy guns and ammo. Airguns over .18 are a firearm)

This deal is killing me , I look everyday and have to turn myself away ! Very good price for this entry level of PCP BullUp, It's ideal for low budget airgunners like myself ! Just bought the Marauder 22 wood stock from Midway for $323 shipped ! Have to look around to find a way to finance for this BullBoss !!
Thanks for posting

I feel your pain. The last three guns I bought were because of this darned bargain gate.
You buncha enablers, are ya proud of yourselves???!!
-
the Bargain Gate is notorious for sucking your bank account dry. I never even had any interest in the BullBoss but now for some reason you guys have me wanting one :)

YES VERY 8)
hey mark,
when you get the bullboss,
pull the baffles out and check to make sure the nut that holds the shroud to the barrel is tight (14mm with a long extension)
when i got mine i could turn the shroud by hand easily.
or better yet pull the shroud and barrel both off and clean the barrel really good (no room for a pullthrough while the barrel is in the reciever)
when i got mine accuracy wasnt the greatest, and i almost sent it back to PA.
but after pulling the shroud and barrel and cleaning it really well,
and making sure that the nut that holds the shroud to the barrel was really tight when reassembling,
it will put 2 full mags of 34gn jsb king heavy MKI inside a quarter at 50yds.
(have it tuned to shoot 2 mags 780-790-780) a little slow but its a laser
-
It arrived today. Didn't know to check the nut, but I checked to see if the shroud would unscrew and it wouldn't budge. Haven't tried cleaning the barrel yet but in my 12 yard downstairs range it put 25.4jsbs in a single hole. I also used strategically placed neoprene tape in the front of the stock to stop the stock flex/wiggle.
-
You guys are killing me. :-\ :-\ If I could sneak it past SWMBO I’d be all over this.

Buy it Harry, buy it :) You really do need this rifle for your collection :)
Jeff

Thanks buddy. You 're a lot of help :) My wife threatened to rent a dumpster and dump my collection in it when I said I wanted to put another safe in my son's old bedroom. I have taken up 1 bedroom already in the house. It's full with 2 safes, 1 steel cabinet, 1 wooden/glass cabinet, and 2 big floor racks, with ammo and storage boxes stacked up everywhere, gun cases, etc. Had to throw the bed out to make room 3-4 years ago, and now there is absolutely no more room. She is afraid I am going to take over another room in the house so I have been warned, and she was very serious this time. Too bad the downstairs floor is a bit humid. I think I need to find the source of the humidity so I can start storing guns downstairs. Maybe have french drains installed around the house to keep the water far away (?).

Don’t fret having to pay for shipping on a clearance bullboss as the free code 49FS123 would not apply to shipping weight of more than 10 pounds, and only regularly priced items.
-
I will post a picture of my fancy neoprene taped stock and put it in a new thread when I get home from my work travels on Friday. Been out of the house too much since my last post to even touch an airgun.

I have really been wanting to get a bull pup in .22 for a while, but couldn't decide which one to get. I just saw the BullBoss in the bargain gate for $327.00 at Midway and from what I have been reading about it, the price seems very good. Can anyone that owns one tell me if this gun is capable of decent accuracy out to 75-100 yards with a FPS in the mid 900's? I mainly target shoot with all my guns. I have also been considering one of the selections by Kral Arms or even the new Diana Skyhawk, but for less than $350.00 including shipping, the Bullboss seems to be a more potent shooter.
Thanks for your help,
Tom

That price for the Bullboss is a steal IMO. Believe it or not the MSRP on them was $649, dunno what it is now. A refurb on HatsanUSA.com is $349 and I paid $389 for my refurb from them some time ago. I have the .25 and it shoots just over 1000 fps with 19.91 gr. pellets. This was right out of the box, no mods. I mostly use 25.39 JSB pellets and occasionally 33.95's and of course the fps is lower. I can't comment as to accuracy @ 75-100 yards but at out to about 60 mine's a tack driver. I've been very happy with mine, no problems. It's the only air rifle I own that I never felt the need to adjust the trigger. It IS heavy as almost all Hatsans are but it's well balanced so it doesn't feel that bad. I'm an old fart and mine is almost always bench fired. I also have the AT44 in .22 which is the same guts as the BB and it's also more accurate than I am. Using either 15.89 or 18.13 JSBs its as accurate as the BB. I actually turned the power down a bit to average around 875 fps over 35 shots. I don't remember what it was out of the box but I believe it was well over 900 with the 15.89s.
Hope this helps some and welcome to the forum!

Ed,
Thank you for the welcome and for replying. Like you, I mostly shoot off of a bench as I have pretty much stopped hunting. With that being said, would you recommend the Bullboss in .22 or .25?
Thanks again, Tom
-
I dunno Tom, it's kinda 6 of one and a half dozen of the other....I got the .25 'cause it can deliver a bit more fpe. Truth be told that doesn't make a whole lotta difference when one is just paper punching. The .25 pellets are more expensive and you can't usually find them locally. The .22 will be a little less $$$ to shoot and if you need some pellets you can always run over to Walmart and at least pick up some cheapo Chrosman's. I'd say the .22 will deliver around 38 fpe OTB while the .25 runs a little over 40, again as delivered. As long as you don't happen to receive a defective one (it can happen with ANY gun) I think you'll be happy with either caliber. From what I've read over time Midway seems to be good about returns if necessary. I would NOT recommend ordering pellets from them though. They just don't pack them properly. I received a pellet order from them that they sent in a padded envelope! Needless to say the tins were all dented and some of the pellets weren't usable. Sent them an email and they did give me a credit right away but from posts I've seen since I wouldn't order them from them again. I have ordered at least 2 air rifles from them with zero issues. They double box them so no problem there.
Best of luck with your decision. Flip a coin??? ;)

Sound more like a ATF warehouse, I dont understand why your wife wouldn't wet you have one more. LOL

My .22 BullBoss was shooting real hot right out of the box. JSB 18.13 grain pellets were shooting at 42.77 fpe @ 1030.6 fps! I detuned it quite a bit by backing off the tension on the hammer spring and it's still shooting those pellets at 32.45 fpe @ 897.76 fps.
The WallyWorld 14.3 grain Crosman's are still shooting at 957.72 fpe, making 29.13 fpe. There is no lack of power in these air guns! Before I detuned it those were shooting at 1075 fps, making 36.7 fpe! The surprising thing is how well it shoots the 14.3 grain Crosman Destroyer pellets. Those don't shoot worth a darn in any of my other rifles, but they are deadly accurate in the BullBoss! Which is a good thing because I almost tossed them as being worthless! Glad I gave them one last chance in the BullBoss before I did!
-
There’s 1 .22 left. Guess who got the second to last one 😄.
.22 isn’t my favorite caliber in an airgun for hunting. But boy is it cheap and easy to shoot. And I’ve never owned a higher-powered .22 before so maybe I’ll change my mind on their prowess as hunters compared to a .25.
I do like my Urban and I love that I can restock pellets from Walmart. Hopefully the BB will like the Gamo Polymag ripoffs like my Urban does.
-
Love my bullboss 22. Out of the box it was flinging the 18gr pellets at about 1200fps.!!! Dialed it down to the mid 900 range and is accurate and fun.
-
The 22 version is gone Now only the 25 cal at $365 if they go down to $326 like the 22 I will jump in !
Goodluck

Ed
Ed,
Well I took your advise and flipped a coin and even though the .25 won out, I couldn't pass up the .22 at this price. I also know that this won't be my last AG purchase especially since I recently found the "Bargain Gate", so with your (and other's) positive comments and the price, I can't see how I can loose. Fortunately for me I decided at the right moment because I actually purchased the last one for the $326.00 price as they are now back up to $499.00! Thank you again Ed for helping me decide to get this beast of a bull pup.
Tom

You're more than welcome Tom. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. If you have any problems or need help with anything you'll find it here. Be careful looking in the Bargain gate. It's saved me so much money I'm going broke...... ;)
Post back after you receive and get a chance to shoot it!

Thank god the .22's on sale are sold out :)
Good luck to everyone that pushed the button on the BullBoss. You got a great deal.

Me too!
Darn, I really didn't need another air gun. I just got a .22 FlashPup and .22 ATI Nova Liberty in December.
Now I've got to order .25 cal pellets. :)
-
Darn, my .22 just arrived yesterday. Couldn't resist, just ordered the .25. Only one left now.
-
And poof, like magic, they are all gone.
Great bargain for anyone who bought one...or two lol
-
PaulT58... Thanks for posting this on bargain gate.
Ugh! Gave in to the darkside (again). Could not resist the last $326.70 BullBoss 25 on Midway.
Getting used to this trip...
-
I tell ya, this Bargain Gate place is like Willie Wonka's chocolate factory, magic around every corner.
My .22 came in this week. Its my first Hatsan. So far I've been happy except that when I started trying to adjust the hammer, my magazine stopped indexing for a while. But that's a discussion for another thread (read a bunch about the issue in threads here, but before I could try anything the problem seemed to correct itself).
-
Guess what? Midways got a few in stock on clearance again!
1 .22 bullboss in stock for $326.70
3 .25 bullboss in stock for $326.70
And amazon is showing 8 .22 bullboss in stock for the same price. So that would be free shipping for those with Prime.
-
I expect 1 person will get a bargain 22 and price will suddenly go back up again (on Amazon).
FWIW, when Amazon does this price-drop-bait thing, you can buy SEVERAL of them at one time at that bargain price. ANY purchase usually triggers the Amazon robot to jack up the price. Assuming you can afford to and have a use for multiples, that is one way to "play the game" by Amazon rules.
I got the 22 last year and the 25 recently. IMHO both rifles are awesome and are a steal at $~330.

I got one in 25 caliber that I'd like to sell or possibly partial trade and a little cash for a 22 discovery. It would come with gun, fill probe, Donny Fl adapter for an aftermarket moderator, misc tools, O-rings, 4 mags, a fore end handle that's also a bipod, plus a nice allen soft sided tactical case. I just never really got into this one. Let me know if anyone is interested. I'm new here so I can't post it yet but when I get my 30 days and my postings in it will be posted. Thanks guys.
