FWIW: The bulldog barrel is set-up this way. It does have a sleeve but not for sealing purposes. Large set-screw on breech right above the TP.
Use an alloy steel 10-32 screw, such as those made by McMaster Carr.... typically 170Ksi tensile strength.... Check out here....https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=118225.40 .... Reply #57, probably other posts as well....I distinctly remember seeing a photo of an MRod receiver that Lloyd machined a J-slot into.... but I don't know what thread it was in.... I would ask him via PM....Bob

Aren't you running the JDS Airman Brod adapter? Bob- with an Mrod size tube, how many cc's of air is in an inch of tube? I may just have to bottle the gun... After thinking it over, I'm not too sure I'll be all that happy with 2 shots. ADDITION:So I'm thinking, a new JSA main tube, no gauge hole, at the 24" factory length. Add to that a bottle adapter from JDS Airman (I'd like a Cobra reg, it's just too darn expensive) and one of his metric 4.5k regs. Bullpup it. Keep everything else on the build the same... Thoughts?
...I am running the FLEX/COBRA tank block...
No, I'm running the RAI block...
That dimension is 1.63"....Bob
