Very interesting Steve, well done. It would be interesting if you tested different weight pellets in the same tune setup. Perhaps the difference between 10.3 gr and 7.3 gr to see if there is any detectable difference. Not that you needed more work
I just installed my 22mm kit two days ago. I removed exactly one coil and am using one 1mm washer and it’s shooting 11.6 FPE. I’m letting the spring set for a few days and I’ll check output again. If it remains as is, I’ll remove another half coil. Previously, I was running a vortek kit with cut spring to deliver 11.5 FPE. The difference between Tony’s kit and the vortek is huge especially considering they deliver the same energy. The vortek kit was a fast snappy and cracky. The TL kit is fast, smooth, way less recoil, sight picture barely moves. It’s just less work to shoot. It would be interesting to try the kit in 22 caliber. I did fire a few jsb 10.3 through and it’s even a bit more docile. A great upgrade to be certain.
After Scott (Motorhead) does a tune, there is no recoil.Proof? He puts a pellet on the scope vertical adjustment knob and fires a round. The pellet on the knob does snot move.Smoooooooooth..

I think what nitrocrusher was showing was that even a great tune that passes the pellet test while the rifle is bag rested can fail the test when the rifle is in the recoil testing sled. The TL kit passed the pellet test even in the sled where it it free to move. A big difference. Motorhead is clearly a great tuner. His reputation of such is well documented with hundreds of happy customers for sure. This kit is just a different approach fairly new to the airgun after market industry. It is quite nice.
