Well!! Necroposting at it's finest! But I don't see the harm, if it's my post. Besides, it is an update to this thread...
So, I was able to have a new "PN: 1700.014.2, the 'Lead-angle, Rear'" made, by a friend from a FB page. It came out perfect! It was great timing, as he had his 300 apart for some work. He was able to take measurements and such from the actual piece. Here's some pics:
This was the part that put the whole project on hold back in '15... The gun is still apart, because I moved and other projects and life took precedence. I do plan on getting back to this soon though. Also, since I had been waiting, James Maccari did another run of his "Arctic Springs" so I scooped one of those up for this rifle... I also updated the older photobucket links with new ones, so the pics work now. Most of them. Some of the pics were linked to websites, and those went belly up, so...
Anyhoo, I'll update this post when I make some more progress on the BS4...
I almost forgot- since it's been so long since I disassembled this rifle, and I disassembled the entire trigger group, AND my drawings aren't the greatest... I ended up buying a new trigger group I happened to have found on ebay. I probably paid too much ($150) for the entire assembled trigger group (minus the trigger shoe, which is fine because I have one). I haven't been able to track down a parts diagram that's good enough to re-assemble the trigger group, as I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to completely disassemble it. So here's to the "new" trigger group working with a chinese clone! Seriously, I think there's more FWB parts in this thing than chinese...

Good luck! They didn't sell very many, and I bought mine in the 90's... They haven't been sold in a very long time! Very occasionally they pop up. The last time I saw one for sale was a few years ago, and the BS4 was in pieces, being sold for just parts, and the guy wanted an arm and a leg... You'll probably be better off finding a good used FWB 300, tbh

I forgot I had started the BS4 build with this thread... I started a new thread- same rifle though. Here's the link to see how this rifle ended up:
