Of course, to pay this much for one, you really have to want it. The prices for the Model A & B have pretty much doubled in the last 10 -12 years. For those who don't know, the Model B, is rarer due to fewer were made. Both are GREAT rifles & a joy to just hold in your hands & admire. Will they continue to increase ?? Who knows ! " The only difference between men & boys, is the price of their toys !"
I've often wondered what was wrong with the one Baker had that he could not fix... and if it sold that high price just for a "parts gun" since they are made of unobtainium.
Who do they send them to for repairs?
With regards to the pic below can someone tell me which components cause issues with this gun? Seems bullet proof to me. Most problems occur because collectable guns sit idle for months or years. My thought is a good old fashion alcohol flush would suffice. It’s worked on every one of my guns so why not this one?
If I ever have a problems with one , I send it to ; http://ujays.net/sheridan.html . He will repair it professionally . With rifles like these , you don't want patchwork done by amateurs. I have seen some that have experienced poor workmanship ! Damaged parts, missing parts, jury-rigging , jake- legging half-done rebuilds, etc., are found in some of these. Yes, pump cups can be the problem , inlet & exhaust valve seats , & trash , are other internal problems.U.J. has one of mine that he has just finished repairing.
