Yesterday, I began chrono testing my four Crosman 760's with three different pellets. The JSB Exact Express 7.87gr, H&N Sniper Light 7.5gr, and Beeman Silver Bear 7.1gr. Below is part 1;
The rifles are 760 Powermaster variant 1, 760 Powermaster variant 4, 760-B Pumpmaster variant 7, and 760-D Pumpmaster variant 8.

I don't know how many of you watched/enjoyed this video, but part 2 is half done. Problems with dark, rainy weather every day. And my Caldwell chronograph , even with a new battery, stops recording or gets long strings of errors? After I get this last 760 tested, I'm going to try and get them to fix it, replace it, or?...

Thanks for taking time to collect and post this.
Also interesting how long they have been making the 760 and all the changes through the years.

Thanks. It is a labor of love, since the 760 variant 1 I bought back then with newspaper money I saved up at Sears, Roebuck & Co in Elyria, OH. And yeah, the 760 has been around since 1966. Also includes variants like the 766, 66, 2100, 2100B, 2200...& the list keeps growing. I'm gonna need another 5-gun rack or two when I collect some more 760 variants.
Anyway, part 2 has been delayed. The chrono quit communicating with the android app. And the ERROR2/ERROR3 problem. After talking to the customer service rep at Battenfeld Technologies, Inc
https://www.btibrands.com/brands/caldwell/?archive=replement-parts
They make Caldwell shooting supplies. Got the cell phone USB to Fire wire port computer wire and the white LED lights they later replaced the IR lights with for...FREE! They'll be here early next week. I'll see if the chronograph works with the new parts like he said in our conversation? He said to let him know how it works out, and I told him I'd try the parts singly, then in tandem and see how it works out? We agreed we'd go from there if needs be.

Here's part 2 of the four 760 tests. The last, a 760-D Pumpmaster, will have to wait until early next week when Caldwell upgrade parts arrive to make repairs. I also go over a couple swaps at the end due to a friends generosity! so watch the whole video...

The Caldwell upgrade/repair parts came in today that the Customer service rep said usually cures the problems that arose with these units. But no sooner did I cut the box open, then it got dark, rained, then Dondre unt Blitzen! Becht! So maybe tomorrow if it's nice I can wind up the testing in a final video that also shows the complete unboxing from today. That way, you folks will know exactly what to look for if these parts work as claimed.

Thanks. Yeah, I try to give good, solid information. Wish these dark clouds and rain would go away for a week or two. Too much rain and darkness to film, cut grass, etc.
