I had no expectations that it would shoot well at all, but I was surprised. It has tiny little sights on it, and no scope rail, so I'm trying to figure out of there is a way to put a better sighting system on it, because at the age my eyes are, open sights are such a pita these days. It seems to shoot very well though!Lizzie, I just did a restification of a mod. 23 that has been in the fam since 1981, bought it used in Belgium. Reblued, resealed, straightened the corkscrewed barrel and gave the trigger a little more bite. shoots great now. I put a big dot of reflective white paint on the back of the front site and that made a huge difference.

These came home today and I shot both.Bill! Don't show Betty Lou!We'll not talk about shooting SWMBO's stool.
I wouldn't say "primitive" as much as "no-nonsense"...Old pumpers like that were expected to earn their keep, by keeping rats out of the barn, crows out of the corn, and put rabbits in the pot.All honorable responsibilities!
