I have got to mod things...
well this little lathes just an't got enough power..
& I hate veriable speed..wined the revs down and the powers goe with them
and its at low revs yer need the power...Well I think I solved the prob...
550watt motor, 4 pole. 1400rpm..Dam things almost as big as the lathe..
Picked up a old motor just need new berrings...& its like a new one now...
need to dig up some pulleys and i"m running again..The new shaft & berrings
is where the silly 6000rpm DC motor sat...
