First, hello to all. Other than my intro a couple days ago, this is my first post and I'm glad to be aboard.
My 3 month old 95 Vortex QE is my first decent air rifle and I'm enjoying it a ton. But the perpetually loosening screw which secures the action to the stock has been a real downer. I've removed and cleaned it and reinstalled it with blue Loctite, but it continues to back itself out after just a couple hundred rounds. Tomorrow I'm gonna try to find a SS equivalent in different lengths and see if that helps.
Are there tips and secrets you guys use to keep this thing from shaking itself apart?
Thanks in advance for any insight/advice!

Are you talking about the bolt that goes through the forearm and is held in place with a nut and retaining screw? Or the screw that goes up from the bottom through the trigger guard?
If it's the forearm bolt, do you have the little retaining screw which tightens against the nut?
Are you letting the lock-tite cure for a day before shooting?
Not sure, but I think I used lock-tite on the trigger guard screw but not on that forearm bolt. The retaining screw holds that one just fine.

+1 to this
Blue Loctite: Apply, let set 24 hours. If the screw does work loose, everything has to be cleaned and Loctite reapplied if you use it.
Vibra Tite VC-3: Apply once, let set 24 hours. Doesn't require cleaning and reapplying if you need to remove the screws for any reason plus they come out easier.

Also,
all
the oil has to be removed from the screw and it's mating piece threads with something like rubbing alcohol or automotive brake cleaner before the blue lock-tite is applied

Appreciate the tips. Never heard of vibratite but will check it out momentarily.
This is a good example of loose tolerances and cheap fasteners, but I'm still amazed at the cost/performance of this gun.

Stephan,
I would also recommend you get an extra set of stock screws from Hatsan.
As you know, or will soon find out, the screws are made of very soft material that requires a screwdriver that fits just right or you will bugger up the slot.

Thanks for the suggestion. I already replaced the stock screw with a Grade 8 Socket Head Cap (M6 X 25) so now all I need are a couple of the lock screws for the forearm.
