I like my 110 a lot. It's kind of a homely little thing but it shoots very hard and accurate. At first I tried a peep sight from a model 114 on it, then installed a scope with a set of 451MT mounts. I pretty much tend to scope everything. I will be interested to hear how your 110 performs as well as see a pic. Here's mine:
Steve, The stock on my 110 appears to be elm or ash, most likely elm. Serial number is 328658. According to information on Crosman's website, these were only made in '49. The model 120 is almost the same gun, they are more common. I got mine from the Cecil Whiteside auction a few years back. I don't know if anything was done to this gun internally but it shoots really hard. Outperforms all my other vintage pumpers up to the six pump mark. Actually keeps up with my '67 Sheridan at six pumps. Neither my 120 or my 108 Town & Country shoot as hard, don't know why.
Well, we finally got a break in the weather and I got one Chrony of the Crosman 110 with a Benjamin 14.3 grain dome, all I had in the house. I got 560 with 5 pumps which is all the manual recommends? 6 pumps took me to 600. I was very pleased with that. Started to rain so that’s it for now. They say 6 inch’s of snow tomorrow so that may be the range report for a while. The gun feels great, much lighter than my 102s. Still go back to this is my birthday gun, both of us came into the world circa 1951! Lol. In 1952 the 120 took it’s place.Pics below but I already posted them:https://imgur.com/gallery/jb0TR
