Storm, phantom, or remington summit

I am going to get my first springer pretty soon. Which would be the better pick. I plan on tuning them by following the guide that is on charlies website. Which one is the least hold sensative. If i get the storm i might try my hand at refinishing the stock. What do yall think is the better one for sombody new to springers.

Sounds like fun to me.
I believe the "engines" are about the same in those two guns.
Sounds like you might enjoy the wood stock. Wood gets my vote over non-wood.
If I may ask.
What are you going to be using the gun for?
I'm in the process of refinishing one of my Storm stocks.
I've got it stripped and sanded.....what kind of finish you recommend -

Summit got a very nice stock with checkering and good hold, storm is plain Jane & G1/Phantom is the way to go if you plan on using it for hunting. My G1 has gone through abuse and stock is good as new..no worry about scratches, dings & cracks.

i may just get a phanton and chop the barrel down to 14 inches and recrown it along with puting one of muzzle macks break on it. Along with a storm as my plinking target gun. For their price i can get both for the price of rws 34 and tune them to shoot just as well possably.

CitriStrip - "Safer Paint and Varnish Stripper"
I found it at Home Depot.
They had it in spray or tub.
I chose the spray, about $8 if I remember correctly.
Two or three easy passes is all it took, very user friendly.
I suggest: After you apply it, let it soak like the instructions say, but do NOT let it get too dry before you remove it. Makes for more work from what I found.
