Crossman Nitros'Trails and Remmington etc. Which is the most quiet??

I have been thinking of getting a Nitro. since I am not of the high velocity crowd (12 lbs are my ideal velocity) I am leaning toward the BenjaminŽ Legacy SE. The easy cocking and if I am not mistaken it is made in the USA make it a good choice. Not that I have any thing against China guns, but I hear they have better quality out of the box. What is your opinion?

Looking at PA's sound ratings - looks like the Legacy is quite loud compared to other airguns.( A 4 out of 5 rating -5 being the loudest) I believe it's a spring gun, not a nitro piston. The "Trail NP" or the Remington NPSS are really quiet. The NPSS is made in the USA, with a sound rating of 2 .
I have an NPSS -easy to cock, quiet to boot.
Hope this helps

The old legacy was a springer. Maybe I should have said Benjamin. It is a 12 lb nitro Piston. It is advertised as the easiest to cock in their line up.

By the way, as you can see in the post, it is rated as only 16lbs to cock.

Ok -NOW I see the gun you're talking about on Crosman's site.(duh) I've never seen that one for sale anyplace else. I see they call it a Special Edition -wonder if it's only available through Crosman?
Guess I can't help with the China - U.S. thing, but if it's a "de-tuned" Nitro Piston, safe to say the sounds not going to bother you.
16 lbs. cocking - about 1/3 the effort of an NPXL. wow

The Legacy is a lower powered gas ram. I have only seen it on the Crosman site for sale. Reason being, is that everyone wants higher powered guns. Personally I think it would be a great close range target shooting gun. I would like to add the Legacy to my collection..
It may be a collector's air gun one day.. I also assume that once the inventory of Legacy air guns is depleted that Crosman will discontinue them.
Since the Legacy is not widely advertised not many people know about it.
