The stock 2240 can easily do HPA to 1600psi and with fps in the 500's with 17g pells.

With a stock or slight modd 2240 and a 1600 psi fill and the hi-pac air chamber ,how many good shots, and BTW that would be very easy to fill with pump or a carry along pony pack.
And what about a 2000 psi fill.

It takes me about 50 strokes to fill the PM to 2200psi with my G4 pump. About 275 to fill my 13cu" tank. 1600psi requires the 1st spring change. 2000psi isn't a problem, even from a stock 2240 with the 2nd spring change. The valves internals can remain unaltered for shot stringers. Bulk-feed from the tank is the way to go whether it's CO2 or HPA, shot stringing or rat bustin.
The following is an honest opinion from an ACTUAL user.
Lovin my P-Max on the 2240 carbine. This is the best thing going to allow shooting in cold weather. Now I can shoot all year round. I replaced the 7" barrel with a TKO 18" Barrel, LDC, and trigger. The internals are completely stock.
18.1 JSB 1425psi.

This thing is deadly accurate too. The first thing I was impressed with was the increased velocity just by using the P-Max. I am now using the 2240 carbine combined with The P-Max to rid the yard of unwanted pests. Having the ability to switch back and forth from Co2 to HPA with the P-Max in seconds is a hoot !! Oh Yeah Crosman Premiers are 600+fps but I like the added knock down of the JSBs.
