Now I did notice while adjusting trigger that one time I cocked gun and when handle went forward gun discharged.... I thought trigger was too light but it wasnt... was able to shoot 2 more times before mis hap happened....
I ran through about 12 shots when I accidentally loaded 2 pellets into the chamber.... cocked it... was adjusting scope then cocked it again.... I caught myself before pulling the trigger... Put gun on safe...removed air source then ran rod now barrel and pushed out both pellets.... no worries...I was thinking in the back of my mind that I read somewhere that the at 44 has a mechanism that prevents more than one pellets loaded in at a time but disregarded it....
One note on the double loading, it does not double load if the gun is fully cocked, seems that you only half cocked the rifle. If the gun does not fire the first time after being cocked do not cock again with the clip in, take the clip out then cock and fire without the clip. You just have to learn your way around the new gun.
