Safest big bore

(1/4) > >>

Sean:
What are the safest design big bore pcp? What design features make a safe gun? My concern is mainly with bolt/probe securement in the breech block. I have nightmares about one blowing out the back of the breech and poking me in the face.i want overbuilt in this area. Silly concern? I ponder about the quality of materials of the more affordable options out there. Aluminum billet or casting and such?? Any one else think about that.i don't hear about many issues like that. Any thoughts welcome.

Back_Roads:
Side lever safer than straight bolt designs.

Airgunhunter73:
XP Airguns the back of the breech is solid so the bolt shouldn't be able to blow back through it.

aimsmall:
airforce guns seem to be fairly safe. especially with the auto safety thing that is a love hate with me.
I suppose it could blow back and explode the bottle we use for a cheek weld. Not much of a fan of that but you'd only feel it for
a thousands of a second.

I kinda think about that with my talon p and the plastic breech cocking knob going to replace with aluminum soon.
