Old Daisy 880 Seal Upgrade Kit

<< < (3/7) > >>

Ronno6:
The foam arrived and it is way lighter than the Daisy part.
It may work, but dunno if it would hold up.
Gotta find something denser.

The "elastomer spring" replacement looks much more serviceable.
A tad smaller on OD, but fits and compresses with about the same amount of force required by the original.

Still trying to work thru anomalies encountered by a couple of "Alpha testers."

I'll post when I get them sorted out.

Stay tuned !!

Ronno6:
Daisy 169909-000 seal kits for current 880 and old 880 available again, so the kits will have OEM foam oil ring.
I also add the small O-ring for the exhaust valve poppet stem, and a nylon back up washer for the oil wiper.

45Bravo:
I have a old 880.
Metal receiver, but plastic pump arm.

It pumps, and holds air, but I would like to reseal it.

It also needs a bolt probe. The plastic one is broken off about a 1/4 inch from the end.

So put me on the list.

Any way to approximate date this one?

I don’t see a serial number anywhere..

Ian..

Cobalt327 is the authority on dates....maybe he'll chime in.

As for the bolt, you will need to find a bolt for the US made guns, as the ones from across the pond have a slightly larger diameter probe, I believe.
Daisy has a list of airgunsmiths who may have them.
JG has then but not cheap.............

There's a "LOT NO." or "REG. NO." stamped into the front barrel shroud, see photo for location. With it, the date will be known.
