Carbon Fiber HTPLA
(1/1)
LegionAir:
Waiting on a roll of Carbon fiber HTPLA to come in this week. As the name implies it has carbon fibers in it but can also be heat treated to make the product stronger, withstanding 310 degrees F, which would make it more durable than ABS. It’s a little pricier than normal PLA but the structural benefits are worth it IMO. Has anyone tried this stuff?
dan_house:
you may need a “hardened’” nozzle
cf filament, and others, are abrasive and can wear the nozzle out.
LegionAir:
Thanks for the heads up. I ordered a stainless nozzle with the roll
