One of my Daisy manuals recommends a specific oil, it is 10,20 or 30 weight motor oil. My 953 manual states "use only automotive motor oils."

I just happened to use motor oil cause I keep a ketchup bottle dispenser full of synthetic oil on the work bench and it seemed like a good idea. I've always cocked after pumping, I guess I'm doing it wrong?
Spec shows 490-510fps.I have not chronied mine. When you charge, 1) Lift the pump/charging handle ALL the way up, so that you hear the sucking sound of air.2) WAIT for a second or two, then 3) Lower/compress the handle. That pause is important. If you lift then immediately pump, you may short stroke, and the gun may not have a full charge of air.I have no idea what the Mac-1-secret sauce is, nor how it will react/work with the Daisy seals. Formulated by a man who knows his stuff and designed not to gum up over time.
