We are seeing the same phenomenon in other business industry sectors....I am in health care, and during covid, so many people don't want to work when they can sit home and collect more than they would make working, so there is a shortage of workers, which is being artificially created and sustained, and it will take awhile (maybe a LONG while) for the business sectors and the economy to get anywhere back to resembling normal.

I don't think we will EVER see the prices drop to pre-Covid... just me but companies are too GREEDY !
Driving to il from nc yesterday we passed a semi that lost its entire load of 4x8 osb sheets closing a bridge down. Couldn't tell if it was 1/2" or 3/4", but the sides were marked blue.

I put in my Dart Cabinet and Wall Planking a few weeks back, I thought it looked good. The Wife actually liked it... to the point she wanted to do the WHOLE WALL the same way.I couldn't find the same wood anywhere local to me, the closest was over an hour away, so today while I was traveling to the VA Hospital I stopped at the Lowes next door to the Hospital.Yes they had it and it was $6 more a board than the first buy a month back.Where is this going to stop and will the prices come down ?

This really isn't a mystery.
I have been hearing a couple of "rumors" for the past few days, that there are signs of market correction, and a few prices starting to inch their way down.
