Wow, now you got me interested. What speed were you shooting at? That GE foam, is it polyurethane type expanding foam? How much do those bullets weight with hollow point?
Here ya go Ric.
Thanks for the vid. Antom. That is Cedric. He and I have been good friends for years. It was our own Lani 52 (Formally known as RoachCreek, who lead the way for the for Cedric and I to really push ahead with slug shooting years ago. Jack Haley was the one who pushed him. We were all Poo-Pooed (made fun of, put down, told it wouldn't work) for even thinking about it. Now look at the industry. Not only were we proven right, but have in some ways started an almost industry wide advancement in Air Gunning for long range. Along came Dyotat100 who made it possible for many of us back then. Seems people forget that the first PCP Air Guns were slug shooters and only available to Royalty and the very Wealthy. (Not an inexpensive hobby/sport today either), but at least we lowly Mortals can with effort and a bit of sacrifice play the game as well. Lets not forget that in a few Countries such as Denmark this has been going on with tremendous success for years now. All it took was never giving up. Oddly, Both Cedric and RC left the forum here due to all the heckling they received for their work in slug design and testing. Seems we were crazy and destroying Air Gunning forever for the world back then. Lani 52 was a target to the point he left entirely. He was Roach Creek back then and has mostly backed off due to becoming 90% blind. I owe him a tremendous amount for all the knowledge and encouragement over the years. Ric Has been into this in his part of the world for years as well. Which reminds me, Ric, the current fps I am finding accuracy is 900 fps thru 1000 fps. Seems to drop off under 880 and above 1030 fps. I currently set at 930's. Antom, I will watch the Vid later tonight. However, I imagine is is what He and I have been tryi8ng to convey here for years. Slug to Bore importance and how to find it! Thank you so much everyone for the accolades and encouragement!!! Much Appreciated. Knife/Mike
Great results, how did you change the mold to shift the balance of the slugs to the rear further?Increase the depth of the hollow point to shift the balance rearward and lighten the slug?
