Tom,
I'm sorry, man. I see you're online now, but I still haven't gotten around to taking a picture. I'll try again tomorrow. I do have a solution. Atchman suggested I call Compasseco, and speak to a gunsmith. I did, and found that I can drill a hole in the receiver for a scope stop and thereby reclaim my eye relief. I was told that several people had told him )Steve?) that Compasseco should do this to it's TF-87s. He said there is nothing behind he trigger assembly to interfere with drilling,a hole, and to use self-tapping screws. I think I'll give it a go.

did you check to see if it would void you warranty?

Hi Tom,
No the warranty issue did not come up. My bad. I've gone one step further though. The offset scope has two scope stops that can be screwed down into holes in a receiver, if a rifle has one. The threads do not enter the receiver, and stop about an eighth inch from the bottom of the allen screw. Initially, I drilled the hole as the Compasseco tech had said. Then I thought better (?) of that plan, and did the following:
1-I put the offset scope on after taking the stop screws out, tightening it in place.
2-Then I carefully drill-marked the locations of the center of the holes, using a drill bit that was almost the diameter of the stop holes, just to mark the locations.
3-Next I began drilling each hole, starting wit the tiniest drill bit I had and eventually working up to the proper sized hole for fitting the stop screws.
4-I put the offset scope back on, and tightened it down, then began screwing the stop screws down into place.
It worked like a charm. The issue of caution is the drill depth. Beneath this location is the trigger assembly. A drill depth of 3/32" is quite deep enough, but not so deep as to drill into the trigger assembly. Oh, i did touch it once or twice, but only with the slightest drill pressure, as I was being very deliberate and careful in my technique. Once I had screwed the stops in place, I loosened the scope mount enough to try and shift it back and forth. There is only the least perceptible movement, and that could be from the scope mount itself. I think I got it pretty well correct. Well, now my receiver has three holes in it, with two going to good use. I shot a few rounds, but I need to run to Wally's and get more pellets. Maybe I'll shot a video showing how it all looks.
here's hoping (Lord don't let me screw this up!),
