DaveS,You might be very surprised to know that MANY police training academies (here in CA they are referred to as "POST" or Police Officers Standard Trainning) have been using (accurate) "Replica" BB rifles and Shotgubns, and Pellet or BB Pistols for preliminary training. I don't know about LAPD's or LASO's training facility, but the states' largest POST is Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Regional Training Center (I went there for Reserve training which is the same as a regular officers), they are now using these replicas. The Taiwanese company that makes Crosman's Panther DPMS SBR and the other replica based on the same action, has been making these for police, sheriff and US Gov training facilities for 20 years at least. A Japanese replica company I think is called Tokyo Mariu makes the replica SIG Saurer Pellet semi-auto pistols (and other companies too). The US Army uses them for "practice". I read a few years ago that the Chinese PLA (Army) has used BB or Pellet rifles for decades for basic and intermediate rifle and pistol training to save money. Guess they want to save their money to make jets that are rip-offs of our F-15's and F-22's instead. Most police. sheriff and fed agent training is for shootings at close ranges, no more than 20-25 yards, perfect for a high powered BB or Pellet rifle or pistol. My SIG Sauer P320 CO2 Pellet replica shoots an honest 430 to 440 fps on my Chronograph and 1.5" groups at 10 meters (33 feet), 3" at 75 meters (25 yards). As good as any 9mm center fire pistol. If you stuck this in the hands of a new Police or Sheriff recruit (that didn't have previous Military experience) do you think he or she would know it's not a real Colt M16A4 variant that shot real ammo?? Except for the non-fuctional Forward Assist, it works exactly the same as a real M16A4, cleaning teardown is the same, weighs the same and at 10 to 15 meters it shoots the same accuracy. 1st Pic Crosman DPMS ------ 2nd pic real Panther Arms DPMS based on M16A4
was fun while it worked but both magazines just dump all the co2 when pierced. sometimes would give me limp double fires that making me re chamber again.

Ended up selling it on Craigslist for less than I paid for it after they replaced three magazines under warranty

There is a check valve between the two ports allowing for just the Primary Port to be used. I bought mine back in Jan 2019 and have never had any issues. It would appear the earlier issued guns had a problem. Can you give us a timeline? dave

Mags were not mistreated or left in gun longer than Crosman manual recommends. Crosman Technicians I dealt with gave no clues as to why failures were occurring. With only a couple months of warranty left, I sold it on Craigslist with the new magazine and moved on.
just to help out anyone with this problem, i snug up the second co2 to the barb but not puncture then tighten down the first co2.Quote from: Norcal on April 08, 2020, 06:22:06 PMQuote from: Dave S on April 08, 2020, 05:21:54 PMQuote from: Norcal on April 08, 2020, 12:42:42 PMQuote from: porkchopexpr3ss on January 30, 2020, 11:48:21 AMwas fun while it worked but both magazines just dump all the co2 when pierced. sometimes would give me limp double fires that making me re chamber again.I had basically the same poor experience with my DPMS SBR following Crosmans use instructions to a T.
