Title: Benchrest at Rio Salado - February 2014
Post by: Tomg on February 03, 2014, 02:31:29 PM
Me and Ric went out to test our skills with other airgunners this weekend, and had a blast.
It was a little cold, and very gusty. Being our first time for the both of us, I was a little nervous for sure. And I didn't expect to to do anything great in those condition with my modded Disco. Ric had a Daystate, and it was a gorgeous rifle, and he shot very well, in fact so good he took third place in the 25m competition. I came in 7th in that one.
The wind was though to judge, so we all had a pretty good challenge on our hands. At 50m (never shot at this distance) I was surprised that I could see the pellets go out and roll of away from the wind...what a learning curve...literally.
After a while I got better at judging it, but it was gusty, so you had to learn to watch all the wind indicators across the lanes.
I loved it, and will be back next time, with more experience, and some more tricks:-)

Here is the results.
