Recently I've looked into Burris scopes. I've dismissed them before, but their no questions/forever warranty has peaked my interest. Their line up runs from about $150 to over $1,000, so they have something for every budget. The down side is most their lower priced scopes are either fixed parallax or only adjustable to 50 yards. They do have some that go down further, just on pricier models.
I can't seem to find anyone who uses or used a Burris scope on an air rifle. I've been entertaining the thought of buying one and testing on a springer. From what I've read, their robust and track well. I figure the worst could happen is it fails and only have to pay postage for them to fix. They do stand behind their product from what I understand.
If anyone has expirence with Burris optics please share your expirence. Not discounting other brands, but there's little information regarding Burris.

Burris CS has been outstanding for me. I have a 3-9 x 50 mm E1 scope on my M70 30-06 which has been an excellent hunting scope. I have not had a Burris scope on an air rifle.

I'll try one out on a air rifle. Maybe it will catch on. For less than $200 I'll be a guinea pig. Especially if I have a scope for life and then some.

I ended up buying a Burris fulfilled IV E1 4.5-14X42 scope. While not cheap, it wasn't horribly expensive at roughly $215. I figure with a "forever warranty" it would be well worth it. Also a Burris rep did reach out to me to answer some questions, just after I posted here. They seem to be a very good outfit.
The scope does have an side adjustable parallax but is ment for firearms, as it only goes down to 50 yards. I found clarity wasn't a big deal at 20-25 yards as long as the magnification didn't exceed 10 power, but better a 8 power or less. In all reality I rarely exceed 6 power when doing "serious" work (pesting/hunting ) up to 50 yards. I did notice some minor parallax error while shooting, but I was also trying to see how far off I could get it at 25 yards. Glad to say it was roughly .25" at its worst, but could have been the pellets being used or my shooting. This current tin of pellets was consistently loose compared to the last I used up, even though it was the same pellet, just a few years difference in date.
This scope does have an etched glass recticle. It is very fine with drop and windage lines/markings. While looking into shaded woods I found it difficult to see the drop points, but otherwise very clear at 50 yards in sunny areas. The turrets track true with positive clicks, not mushy like many budget scopes I've previously owned. I will say if you have barrel droop issues you will need a compensating mount as the elevation travel isn't as much as other scopes I've had. Not that it was short or limited but the 460 I am testing on does have droop issues. I only shot off 50 or so shots, but no issues with holding zero so far.
All in all I think its a very good scope. Time will tell if any problems arise, but the warranty is very good and not worried about any issues.

I have several Burris scopes, although not on airguns. They have been excellent optics.

The front AO Fullfield will focus down much closer at lower mag compared to the side focus version.
Had 2 so many years ago.
I don’t find the reticle/hashes on the Fulldield 2 Long Range MOA that fine for precision shooting.
I actually want them thinner.

A couple decades ago when my brother and I were just starting shooting our .177 R9s we both bought a 6x Burris Compact scope for squirrel hunting. Neither of the scopes held up on the R9s and the customer service repair time was extreme at 6 weeks. My brother moved his repaired (or replaced) 6x Burris to his rimfire and I moved my repaired (or replaced) 6x Burris to my Chinese B3 that was cobbled together from three bought at the same time from a Cummins Truckload sale costing $19.95 each. LOL...tha Burris Compact cost a couple times more than all three B3s put together.............

Anywhoo, due to the cost of the 6x Burris, the scope "bellying up" on both my brother's and my R9 in less than one season, plus the extreme wait time for the repairs I never considered another Burris of any flavor.
