Post by: Hoosier Daddy on February 18, 2020, 06:44:56 AM
Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
Come one, come all... Casual Match #8 2019 /2020 is open for business.

* This is our LAST match.*

The Casual Match is a fun match. Shoot whatever you want at 10M (more or less depending on what you have available), use any position or rest that you prefer. See below for the details.

Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10M instead of 50’, using the 50’ target of choice.  If you are  limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are PCP Rifle (includes any rifle except spring or nitro pistons), Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), and Pistol. One entry may be made in each class.

The match to run 2 weeks, through Sunday, 3/1/2020.

The 50’ rules and targets may be found at:

http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=114644.0 (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=114644.0)

Please include the following information with your entry:

Call name or real name
PCP, Jumper or Pistol Class
Air rifle or Pistol used
Sighting system
Pellet and caliber
Shooting position and/or aid(s)
Score

And as Jim always said...Shoot straight and be safe!

Well guys, this last tues. I had another cancer operation on my neck and back. An hour an haft later they were done. I do not know if I will be able to shot this match or not. I can not do any lifting for 2 wks. I have my AA900 on my shooting bench, so I may try shooting it next Sunday.
Here is a pic of my back after op. Good shooting and high scores to everybody.  Craig

i always intend to shoot some matches but actually getting a big enough block of time to actually shoot it is tough.  my shooting ends up being a few minutes here and a few minutes there IF it materializes.

You are selling yourself short... go ahead, shoot here and there. Then submit your targets as they seem fit over a 2 week period. Easy-Peezy. :)
YOU GOT THIS NEXT YEAR!!

I don;t think that anything holds you back. You are too determined to let that happen. Hope you get to have some of this fun soon. This is my thought on shooting-- If what you did yesterday seems big,  you haven't done much today---. Just let-r-rip buddy.

Thanks guys. Just doing the best I can with what I have learned on here and with Gods blessing. But as John Denver said-- some days are diamonds, some days are stones. The diamonds get posted- the stones are lessons learned. Has been great fun for the old man and tolerance from the bride.

I shot the PCP class first to test the water and it was already on my shooting bench. No lifting. No problem. ;D So today had son put the 900 away, and put the 300 on the bench for me. Here again no problem. As you see by the scores posted. ;) :D ;D
Were are all the shooters???  :o I guess it is just me and Don so far. Were 8)  Craig

God love ya Craig!
I am in the middle of shooting my scores. Well sorta, tried dialling in the HW98 at 10M with a variety of pellets. She is obviously a 30y+ gun. The R10 in .20 is a Hoot, but not surgically accurate... as is the C1 new-2-me.
Now reverting back to the FWB 300S.

My PCP entry will start testing some vintage to newer CO2. Then maybe a lowly Benjiman Maximus

Class:PCP .177 cal
Weapon:Anschutz 2002 super air (SSP)
Sight:China export 3x40
Caliber and Pellet: .177  RWS Meisterkugeln  8.44 / 4.53
Position:Bipod on stacked beer cases, sitting on a toolbox
Distance: 10 meters, indoors.
Score: 200/200- 13X

Wanted to try some scoped shooting, now my eyes hurt from trying to focus and also the constant poi shifting is really annoying with these chinese scopes, next time I will be using normal peeps again, much easier to use and no parallax.
