Thanks for the kind words guys.Quote from: ER00z on June 21, 2022, 10:22:48 AMGreat shooting! It's probably been asked many times, but are you still restricted to .177 and smooth bores? If so, that's even more impressive! Yup, we're still limited to .177 smoothbores. Thank God no power restrictions exist as well, otherwise we'd be buggered.Quote from: longislandhunter on June 21, 2022, 10:58:47 AMOutstanding harvest with a .177 I'm also curious..... do you eat them? I'm assuming they are edible ?JeffJeff, they are definitely edible, and yes we do eat them. They taste like a mix beef and pork, and can be cooked in a variety of ways. The younger ones are better for eating, though I've had older ones that tasted just fine, the meat was just a little more tough, and a whole lot more gamy. Quote from: ranchibi on June 21, 2022, 11:46:08 AMFantastic shot on that capybara! How big do they get!? Nice pic.The biggest one I've taken over the years was too heavy to carry, I had to field dress it to get it out, and even that was a real heavy load. Biggest I heard of here was a male coming in at about 160lbs.Some good eating is to be had this weekend, that's for sure.
