Momma was out there a couple days ago. She got the same treatment, I just wasn't with it enough to catch it on video! We have 5-6 generations living behind our house, some stay and others move to different areas. These young ones are old enough to be on their own, so they are venturing out and finding new homes. I just want to discourage them from making my backyard their permenent residence!
CC When you look at at a bear and it looks like it has small ears, you got a "BIG" one on your hands. Just like "HANK the Tank" around Lake Tahoe area, he's a BIG BEAR..........The local F&G guys proved that "HANK" was not doing all the damage around there,by DNA, there is another suspect running around doing it.I am backing "Hank"..............

I don't know if black bears reproduce every year, or if it takes 2 years to raise their offspring? I'm thinking every 2 years for some reason.
PaulYa done good................Do those bottle caps leak down.........?Glad you are breaking the bad habits of Jr, before it goes south. What about sealing the threads/cap area with a heavy coating of rubber cement? It might hold the pressure for a longer period. The rest of the crew will be coming around, they got a travel cycle they follow..........LOLTia,Donps, the sound of your AR firing is odd sounding.................
Yep, exactly what I meant when I said if he grows into them. BTW "Hank the Tank" isn't all that big as Florida bears go. https://wildlife.org/floridas-largest-recorded-black-bear-trapped-and-killed/I don't understand why Florida doesn't have a "Bear" hunting season. We are overpopulated with them and 6-700# bears are not unusual. I used to hunt on a ranch in central Fl that had 5 calves killed by bears in one recent year. Yeah, the owner could have gotten a "predation" tag but elected not to.
LOL Paul! That bear took off like he was shot from a cannon! Fun videos.
Back in the late 70's early 80's we used to deer and hog hunt up in Appalachicola National Forest. I remember 2x that the dogs got on bears, and a lot of dogs won't run a bear track. Both times they were large bears with toes the size of a silver dollar. Luckily we were able to cut the dogs off both times before they caught up with the bears.
Our 7 lbs Rescue Dog will go toe to toe with a bear through the fence, but then again, her brain is probably not much larger than a Pistachio! I think the bears are just dumbfounded at her lack of common sense and just egg her on!
