Thanks guys! Im super excited to get the first trophy level buck in kentucky with an airgun! Maybe i’ll get my name immortalized in some never read book haha. Ive been “growing” a monster 10 pointer for the past 2 years on one of our properties. Hopefully he doesnt get shy now that airguns are legal. I almost took him last year with a crossbow but decided to give him one more year and the trail cameras show that it was worth the wait. He is much larger this year. I have a lot of money and time invested into to getting him fat and staying on our property. I’ll post pictures if i do my part. Dmeguy, thanks for the encouraging words and i hope you are succesful in getting your local lawmakers on board. Use kentucky and other states that have laws allowing air gun hunting as examples and if they listen at all, they wont be able to dispute the facts. I repeatedly pointed out that airguns were far safer than high powered rifles since the projectiles wont travel nearly as far in case of a miss. I referenced a couple of other states that already had laws in place and gave as much information as i could find about the ballistic comparisons of airguns to black powder guns and hunting pb pistols. Again, i have no idea if they ever looked at anything i sent but i know it didnt hurt anything. Im going to continue to press for the inclusion of airbows and similar right after i send in a thank you letter. Might as well stay on them while they seem to be listening. Good luck sir!

Good luck sir!quotedo you have a food plot or feeders?we have a 60 acre corn field we use to feed the cattle in the winter and 6-7 acres of watermelon. the deer love both. used to be an old farmhouse that my great grandparents lived in and of course had a garden. still have “wild” random vegetables that grow in a few ares around the property. combined with the corn, we have a lot of game species and pests that inhabit the area. ive spent a lot of time and effort cutting trees and removing fallen limbs and trees yearly to help funnel the deer and turkey to a nice shooting lane before they reach the corn field. i do put out minerals in the summer also for the deer but have to remove any non agricultural bait from the property at least 1 month before turkey season because of kentucky law. baiting deer is legal but cant hunt turkey on property with bait. still considered baited for 30 days after removal. any farming food sources are legal so i use it to my advantage. it’s my favorite place to hunt because i can put a lot of different meat in the freezer from one location. we take squirrel, dove, turkey, and deer from the same farm. we also take coyote, fox, and groundhogs when we start seeing them frequently. i couldnt be luckier and with airguns being expanded to deer hunting i couldnt be happier. im going to stay on them for turkey hunting. if i did help with deer hunting, maybe they will listen about turkey. or whoever is far more important than me that pushed for deer is also a turkey hunter. either way i’ll take it
