It's almost cheating with a Pulsar Apex XD38A Thermal mounted on top of my shrouded .257 Condor.
Still a little warm in Texas so while hunting make sure the cooler is full with drinks and the air conditioner in the elevated stand/blind is working.
Hmmm, I don't know if I should comment to this thread or not,Looks to me that you have the wrong equipment for the type of hunting you doing, also seems to me ( I might be wrong ) that you more interested in just slinging lead then actually make the shot and finding the outcome of said shot. Also seems you didn't prepare properly for the hunt,...wrong ammo, wrong scope adjustment, maybe you're not yet ready to Hog hunt with airguns.

If everything is working to spec I have no trouble killing hogs with my airgun. Getting a late start, grabbing the wrong slugs and not checking the scope are certainly things I can control. The gun kicks out a 80gr bullet at 975fps when working correctly. Haven't had a chance to check it out since I got back but I'm thinking that the seal is my problem. Shooting 2" to 3" off target was the primary reason for my failure for sure. On another hog I didn't mention I shot at it right between the eyes at about 30 yards only to have the bullet ricochet off. That shot sounded like it had plenty of velocity gauging for the sound of the ricochet. Having a scope you can use on several different guns and still hold a zero on all 3 is certainly a positive but does add something else that must be managed. I'll be better prepared next time for sure, and I don't think I am going to run out of targets anytime soon based on this pic.
Manny, I could be wrong, but I think the hog situation in Texas is different than in Hawaii. In Texas, they are invasive pests. They're destroying habitat and competing with farm animals and native wild species.
