Title: My First Crosman Mark II - Now Fully Restored
Post by: breakfastchef on February 28, 2012, 07:40:14 PM
I recently purchased this vintage pistol and am very, very impressed with both the accuracy and the outstanding trigger. It is shooting so well, I have held off disassembling and cleaning it until a seal gives way. The pistol hold and shoots pretty hard, but I did order a new seal kit for the eventual leaking. I am on the fence as to whether I will paint it when the weather becomes milder.

I added some furniture, a Ruger scope mount base and a red dot this week.

Nice Larry they are one of the best and accurate guns Crosman ever made if you ask me. Have you used it in a match yet. Hey is that why your targets so good this month. ;) If you need a o-ring for the Co2 cap i have extras your welcome to one.

Though still holding CO2, I chose to tear into the Mark II and do a full restoration. Every part, crevice and thread were thoroughly cleaned. New seal kit from Tim at Mac1 installed. I polished the cocking knob, bolt knob and trigger for a little contrast. The frame and screws were painted with Dura-Coat Semigloss Black (great coating system, BTW). RB Grips in cocobolo finished the pistol. Below are the before and after photos of the project pistol.

That Mark II looks amazing, I really should Dura-coat mine. My Mark 1 has a bunch of chips in the finish from the original owner.
