Generally....for me, it's older German springers. They don't even have to be THAT old.....just 60's to early 90's, and in good shooting condition. OH. And there's one Russian gun I want...a Baikal IJ-22. I've been looking for one for several years now.
There is something very satisfying about actually SEEING the pellet travel it's path right to where you aimed.
Oh I have the worst of both worlds—both a generalist, and a specific model guy.I can fall for any interesting quality old airgun I stumble onto. I own single examples of stuff ranging from a Silver Streak, Hammerli Master, Walther 55 Tyro, and Webley Senior to a Barnett Spitfire. But I’ve also settled on some favorite models, and with those I will tend to obsess over minor details, and go for any example that is different from one I already have. This is how you end up with 3 Diana 50’s, 4 FWB 300’s, 5 Webley Mk 3’s, 9 Diana 27’s, and I’m not even going to mention how many HW 55’s...!
I have FOC... Fear Of Classifieds.Betty Lou says "You bought another one"? and I say "Yes dear, I know, I'm FOCed".
My love is to spend a little more and get as prestine an example as possible. I love the time machine effect. ... And really many times you aren’t talking a whole lot of money, it’s just patience and luck.
