A buddy came by and gave me a propane tank for my smoker. Standard 20 # tank but it is fiberglass/ carbon fiber. Never knew that was a thing. Anyone here know about these. The weight difference is very noticeable.

I'd guess a Viking Cylinders 22 lbs tank.
Those things are around $190 new!

Nice tank- too nice for my taste, but definitely a nice gift!
I like good old steel tanks. Tons of uses only starting with propane storage. I've used them for bunches of odd projects.

Steel tanks are easy to trade in for a full tank.
The Viking Cylinders you need to go get them filled.
Very nice tanks if you need to save half the weight of a steel tank.
