Back Room / Re: So if you didn't do anything airgun related what did you do today?« Last post by Tater on Today at 05:02:00 AM »I was trimming a shrub with my brand new 24" battery hedge trimmer and I fell off the ladder. I was on the 3rd step and the ground wasn't level but having worked off of ladders for many years I thought I would be alright. Wrong.
A felt it starting to tip and it seemed to happen in slow motion, so I jumped off. My feet hit first, but I wasn't upright and fell on my tailbone and then my head hit. I didn't brace myself well because like an idiot I tried to keep the trimmer from getting damaged. Man am I sore all over but it could have been much worse. Those blades are shape. This yard is gonna kill me. 5

Turkish AirGun Gate / Re: Hatsan Mod 100 spring and other improvements« Last post by Andyconan on Today at 02:53:06 AM »lefteyeshot as I said above I don't have the 100x but the MOD. 100 which is another carbine, very similar but different, of the 100x I find a lot of material online but of the MOD 100 absolutely not, that's why I wanted some advice on what to change, what spring and other parts to take to bring it at least to default and like new or if possible even better. The parts should be the same as the 100x but I would like to be sure. For example I found a spring that from the description they say is suitable for the models: 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 (sniper), 87QE, 88, 90, 95, 99, 100X, 105X and Dominator 200 in cal. 4.5mm, I find it in two variants short version length: 320mm and long version length: 380mm, I wonder if both can e be inserted on mine or maybe they are too long?

Big Bore AirGun Gate / Re: Starting a .308 ELR build« Last post by Scotchmo on Today at 02:27:44 AM »I’ve been making some good progress on the valve body. But slow going machining chromoly steel. Being careful not to make mistakes that would cause me to start over. Very careful when tapping a couple of deep 6-32 holes. I’m an amateur machinist at best.
The numbers say that it needed to be a balanced valve, so that’s what it will be from the start. I using my same electronic controller design. Some of the valve specs: 0.079” (2mm) stem 0.332” throat 0.313” ports 0.09” lift 0.281” balance piston About 0.013” valve seat overlap I want it easy to open, but also want a good seal. The balance piston will keep the load on the seat low enough, so I’m going to start with an acetal valve head. Cross section of model shown below, minus the two return springs (one for valve, one for solenoid). And a picture of just the main valve parts exploded. |
