So Im going to post a fw here now and will be adding to it as we go along so please post what you can and hopefully we can get a usable list and maybe put it in the library for a on stop tell all instead of chasing them around.

I was looking to expand the capabilities of my Airforce Escape SS, so I bought an 18" barrel for it.

The barrel I received was an AirForce PN: U1030, .22 caliber "heavy barrel". The barrel measures .6250 (15.88mm) at the muzzle & .3090"od (7.86mm) at the breach end.  INCLUDED is a delrin cap that fits in the end of the receiver tube to finish it off, like the ones shown on the end of non-SS models, as well as new set screws and barrel bushings.

Though this barrel did not come threaded, but there is plenty of material to thread the muzzle 1/2-20 if desired.

Hopefully somebody finds this info helpful.

Are Break Barrels threaded into the barrel assembly or pressed in?

I can not speak of all break barrels, but most of mine are pressed in. (one old unit from the 40's appears to be machined out of one piece)

I have a custom shroud on my 18" heavy barrel Escape UL from https://www.rlairgunsupply.com/ (https://www.rlairgunsupply.com/) Keeps it quiet as long as your below the speed of sound, and your target doesn't react loudly ;)

Doug's custom 30 cal, TJ's marauder barrel: 9/16-32.
cheers,
Douglas

Have a look on the interweb, fine thread taps are easy to find, and not so much money. I don't like disturbing the steel at, and just before the muzzle, so fine threads to cut, and a tap for the muffler nut/mount.

What is the thread size of FX brass transfer ports?  I think they are all the same for all calibers, but I'm specifically interested in the .177.

From my notes on a .177 Crown:

brass thimble has female M12 x 1.0 thread (threads to steel barrel adapter)
steel barrel adapter has male M13 x 1.0 thread (threads to "barrel" which is really just a tube)
