It would be extremely difficult to find a piece of wood to match & equally difficult to splice the two pieces together. I am sure there are artisans out there who are talented enough but I am equally certain the price for the repair would not justify the work on this particular gun (no serial number). However, this is something I would try because I have dabbled in this sort of fix before; molding a section with epoxy & using various stains to achieve the wood grain/color match.

This gun works and shoots. Do you think a section molded with epoxy would look better than a piece of walnut grafted in and stained to and streaked to match?
