It doesn't take much of a " shim " to make a difference. Many times, a layer or two of black electrical tape, gets it on target.
Wow that looks awesome on that old girl.
Glad you got it working for you. I never had that much trouble with one of those. Like I said, they aren't exactly a precision piece of gear. I think you will be amazed at the accuracy with your 101 scoped.
Ill echo what the others have said about the looks. Nice combo!hows the cheek weld for the scope?
Looks good, Steve. You can move that tip-off mount back another inch or so if you want to, just let it hang off the back edge of your rear 459MT. That's what I did when putting this A4 on my '64 Streak, with a set of B72 mounts. Doesn't look bad and that steel Weaver mount still grips plenty tight.
Finally took a Pic of vintage JC-Higgins Senior x4 picked up from Ebay, they are similar to the weaver K4 with 1" tube, I think it looks great on the Sheridan, the optics are very clear and I noticed image looks perfect at the same setting at 10' or across 100' into the neighbors backyard without need to constantly use AO like on my BugBuster, not sure if this is common feature of all fix magnification models, probably not since my first inexpensive 3x7 Tasco looks blurry at 10', the Higgins also looks bright at night under low lighting and it's a lightweight. Also was given in perfect condition a Weaver X4 marksman, the optics on this one are not up to the JC Higgins, but still looks fine at long and short distance, it is noticeably darker at night with low lighting, to be expected with smaller 3/4 tube.
