Well, still working on the rifle and the video. I brushed on a 2nd coat of stain this morning, 21 minutes later I rubbed it off with some 3" cleaning patches. Ditto with the pump tube. Wild grain character, including watermarks like wavy bands. Not sanding scratches, as I was to find when removing the excess 2nd coat of stain.
Bluing on the pump tube is darker, but I polished it so much it shines like crazy! And that sheen on the butt stock is from the Minwax oil stain?! The stain left a nice seal coat this time.

I painted the die cast barrel band with gloss black Rustoleum yesterday and hung it to dry. Looks darn good today, even the date stamp0 is nice & clear!

Okay, here's the final episode of the Crosman 760 variant 1 Powermaster restoration...for now! Still need to do the butt plate and a spring or 2 MIA. It shoots and will be tested later. got the 760-D to finish and change valves in the 160 Pellgun.

Here's a nice pic of the 760 variant one all done and purty;
Shoots so good now, with the new seals and 761xl barrel, that it kinda has a bit of a kick to it?!...

With the 2 scopes my buddy sent me today, both with Hawke mounts, some swaps were in order. I swapped the Hawke low mounts in place of the medium mounts they incorrectly sent me. Lowered the scope about 3/16 of an inch. Now it looks like I envisioned it on the rifle with the MOE Weaver rails.
Before with mid rise Hawke mounts;
After, with low rise Hawke's;

Well, being the Labor Day weekend, I contemplated many things here in the man cave. Pit barbecue being one of them. Then, looking over to the right at my rifle racks, (no easy rider's here!) It hit me.
I still needed better pics of the ghost tiger stripes/flames on the 760 Powermaster variant 1. And the repair I did on the butt stock when I broke it on a rabbit's noggin at age 16, 1972 at my uncle Russel Dean's house in WV. He was my dad's best friend growing up that married my auntie Ethel.
This is when I first started restomodding the 760v1. You can still see that the edges of the break stood out a little bit from when I glued & clamped it in 1972;
And after the first coat of Minwax #224 Special Walnut oil stain, it's less visible;
And all said & done, closeup;
Over-all view of finished rifle with better view of ghost tiger stripes/flames;

They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

Real nice, the repair is hardly noticable at all.

Yeah, I sanded it down carefully, as much as I dared up to 800 grit emery paper. I didn't wanna mess it up dimensionally. So you can still see it, but not quite as much. The edges of the fracture weren't perfectly clean. At least I got the stripes/flames lined up. it has that going for it anyway.
