Well the "Big Brown Truck" came and I received my Crazy8's Airgun Target around 8pm Friday night (which was PERFECT), as I was meeting up with a couple of my buddies at our shooting permission in the morning.
We got to the permission early, had some coffee, some eats, set up our shooting benches, tables, and got ourselves ready for another fun day of trigger time shared with good friends.
I wasn't sure what all types (and power levels) of guns the guys would be bringing that day, so I figured I'd better set the Crazy8's target out far enough, to give it an honest chance at holding up.
SOooooo,... out to 75 yards it goes !
Can you see it ?
You cant see it ?,... ok,...it's just to the right of the round blue 75 yard marker.
Here,.. I'll zoom in a little more...
(sorry, but this is as much zoom as my camera would do from the firing line), haha.
NOW can you see it ?
I've got to admit that before receiving the Crazy8's Target, I had some doubts.
The reason is because I already have the 4 paddle version, that I was not very happy with. It seems that when using the 4 paddle version on hard flat ground, it would move around with just a few hits, the legs would rotate, and it would fall over often.
That does not seem to be a problem with this Crazy8 Target at all ! ... YAY!
There even was one stray shot that hit the edge of the frame. It was a direct hit, and it hit HARD. It did move the target about 45 degrees from facing us, and the target still DID NOT fall over ! Double YAY ! Less trips needed down range,... heck, you can't complain about that, now can ya ? !
This Crazy8's Target is far more stable than my smaller 4 paddle model. It took hit after hit and stayed pretty straight and solid.
I was hitting it with a 18.13 gr JSB leaving the muzzle of my QB/PCP at 865 -880 fps.
Craig was using a .177 RAW (not sure what FPE his gun has).
Jeff was using his Bottle Fed QB/PCP delivering around the same power level as mine.
I told the guys to give it a good work out and see if this target was "any good", (meaning), is it FUN enough ?,... is it STURDY enough ?,... is it EASY enough to use ?,... does it WORK as expected ?,... would you USE this target again ?,...
... Yes !, We LIKE this Target ! ! !
The Crazy8's Target held up very well.
(little plastic Army Men ? ? ? ,.... not so much)
We were pleasantly surprised and we will certainly continue to use it. It is a fun target that works much better than I had initially expected.
Heck,... I'll probably have to go buy another one, so we can make some speed target shooting games!
About the only thing I could find **wrong**, wuz a mizspellted wurd on da boxx
Hahaha, See if you can find it.
Cheers !
