NOE Cast Pellet Weights
«

I have just had a mammoth casting session over several days, catching up casting all the pellet moulds I got from NOE.... I used 40:1 Rotometals alloy (2.5% tin), and pressure cast using my modified bottom pour Lee pot, controlled with a PID at 780*F.... Here are the average weights I got for all the different pellets NOE has made to date.... There are 3 sets of Hollow Base pins with each mould, plus a Flat Base pin.... This will allow you to try different weights, which have different CG positions, to find out what works best in your gun....

Bob was Al planning on making a 217-17 Target mold, I might just have to buy me one of those. It would be interesting shooting some cast wadcutters from the pistols.

Yes, it is in the lineup to be produced.... I just don't know when.... It uses the same form tool as the .217 Hunter, just shorter at the nose, so the idea was to make them when they did the Hunter moulds (like they did with the .25 cal Target), but somehow it got missed....
