Well, I got my AEA .25 carbine shooting again! As usual, it was reasonably accurate and I got a record three full magazines through it before it went back to its default state of jammed pellet and jammed magazine. I’m trying to think of some other product that I’ve purchased that was as consistently awful as these are, but I can’t come up with one. I’m stuck with this because unfortunately, my first purchase happened during a very strenuous time, and I fooled myself thinking I could do whatever simple repair would be required. By the time I got around to it, the return window had passed. So this is the third AEA gun from the same vendor (Bin Tac) in an effort to find one that works.
Saturday, while working on my 100 meter range, I had it with my 11+ year old Poulon Pro chainsaw. I tossed it around a bit and yesterday morning I noticed a puddle of oil under it on my garage floor. I dumped the gas & oil, removed the bar & chain, hung it from my 100 meter target frame and shot it 5 times. It wasn’t from an airgun, so I didn’t take pictures. I don’t want to remember that saw anyway. It was satisfying. But I’m going to need a new saw, preferably an orange one.
Great to see that quality family time!
