China/Asian AirGun Gate / Re: XS60C - The questions I didn't think I'd have to ask...« Last post by Methuselah on Today at 08:57:05 PM »Two more cartridges, I think the recommendation was a couple hundred break in rounds. Still Chinese Winchester Round Nose, 20 rounds, 10 at each target. Was at the pistol range as a guest (otherwise only open on weekends). Next to me, 9 mm auto going off so paused when firing. I suspect the flyers are either first round or first after delay for the 9 mm nearby.
Several extra pauses on target #2 while we exchanged some stories. When I finish these two cartridges it will be around 200 pellets. Outside of the inner red ring is just under one inch. I didn't measure the groups and haven't ordered/replaced the green optic fibers yet. (as usual, type using laptop's keyboard, edit and add pics from cellphone) 2

I Pre-Ordered…« Last post by PasadenaMike on Today at 08:53:53 PM »Anyone got any sidewinder chrony numbers on a sidewinder .22 model or compact? maybe some slug success? I'm gonna keep a .22 compact for myself here as some come into my shop and I was hoping based on my math that a 33.95 will be running around 900fps. I haven't got to tinker with any other than the .30 cal models. My compact sw is shooting the .25 25.39 jsbs at 940 as it came from the pellet shop 3

I have ruined many cars, boats, bikes, and guns in my time. I periodically contemplate getting a PCP but I've learned my lesson. I'm partial to pumpers and I keep swearing that I'm never buying another springer but they keep showing up in the mail. Quite right Captain Carter. On this vein, Jim Corbett & Kenneth Anderson were both in agreement " Be sure to make the first shot count, as you may not be fortunate enough to get another " Best Wishes - Tom 5

No blood? No problem! Put a drop of red nail polish on its fur to enhance the photo 6

Hunting Gate / Re: Me vs. My Cat« Last post by Blowpipe Sam on Today at 08:10:16 PM »Congratulations on your successful surgery! I'll be there pretty soon.
!6 years ago we got a feral kitten for our daughter's 14th birthday. The kid comes and goes. The cat is still with us. She is an awesome killer. Rats, mice, voles, moles, squirrels, birds, lizards, and snakes. A few years ago she brought my wife a dead 12" Pygmy rattler. She got a big piece of chicken (her favorite) for that. She's getting old and slowing down but she keeps the house and all the outbuildings free of rodents. She gets a good bit of help from Flash who is half Dachshund and a lethal ratter in his own right. 9

Townshend Whelan only got it partially right. Yes only accurate rifles are interesting. But only fickle, challenging, frustrating rifles are addictive. |
