(Stupid) Question for JDS Reg Owners

Finally got a HPA tank on my QB, now I'm chasing leaks
Anyway my stupid question is when you look into the fill fitting on the JDS reg can you see a slot?
My 2nd hand tank came with the fitting removed and I popped the check valve out for a nosy, now I'm not sure if i put it back in the right way!
One end has a screw driver slot in it.

The check valves I have seen look like a pan head screw with no threads and an O-ring under the head.... The stem goes into the male Foster fitting, and the O-ring seats against it, so the slot in the head is on the inside, you can't see it once the Foster is screwed into the regulator.... I honestly can't remember if JDS are different or not....
Do NOT interchange the Burst Discs with the gauge or Foster.... the threads on the burst discs are 3/8"-24 NF and they seal on the copper end of the disc on the bottom of the hole.... The gauge and Foster are 1/8"-27 NPT and seal on the tapered thread with Teflon Tape.... The threads are similar enough they look the same and will start, but DON'T do it!....

Thanks Bob!
Was thinking about it earlier and realized the slot in the valve would be to stop it from closing against the reg body while filling, so would have to be on the inside!
The one I've got has no head on the check valve, doesn't have an oring either just a seal on the shaft, so it could go into the fill fitting in either direction which is what got me worried I had put it in backwards lol
I didn't get a pic when it was a part, but here's a rough mspaint mock up
