Added front and rear cap.Current version needs to be printed with supports on in slicer - see image for right way round on platen. Will come back and add permanent supports later. Will have to split zipped STL files per reply due to file size.
Based on other printed LDCs a 1 mm pitch is possible with an Anycubic Viper, a popular printer on GTA.
Thanks, Sub:I downloaded the files. Does that mean I'm going to get a visit???
If you look at the closeup of the thread engagement, there is a deliberate space between threads. This is because 3D printed threads tend to be tight. Especially at the inside diameter. I predict these will print to a low drag "slop-less" fit.
Following... I really want a short can for a few of my carbines.
I've got a few low powered carbines and pistols that could use something like this. Can anyone here do this?https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4705342
Ed, as you seem to be interested in a short low power solution, I think a more conventional wide open "throat" conventional conical baffle version would be better suited. Let me see what I can cook up, based on the smallest diameter stackable baffle concept. Quote from: EdinGa on November 09, 2022, 04:32:53 AMFollowing... Bruce,STEP files can be read by all 3D CAD programs. Editing STEP files is hard, and that is why they are often shared when engineers don't want someone else to easily modify a design. Think of it as the PDF of 3D CAD. Much more resolution that typical STL files, and easy to take measurement off, compared to STLs.If you want the STEP files for the above design I can post a wetransfer link to them here. They are large files because they describe the shape of the parts in detail, rather than the recipe used to create the parts. The SLDPRT (SW part file) format contains the recipe and is more easily modified - if you use Solidworks.
Print at your leisure, but download before the link expires...
