I do not feel like taking a flier and tapping out the Williams just to see if it would help. The threaded portion is different. Wish it wasn't! -YThanks for the link! I never could figure out how to use it without going full European on the sights. So, if I get Hector's picture right, I need 2 of these adaptors?Looks interesting, maybe for Christmas? Thanks for the information.-YYou don’t need to alter the sight, you just need one of these:http://www.champchoice.com/store/Main.aspx?p=ItemDetailOptions&item=MA585Specifically designed to fit Euro-thread (9.5 mm x 1.0 mm) sight accessories into US-thread (7/32” X 40) sights. I use one to keep a Gehmann iris on an HW 50 with Williams rear sight.

Interesting details and conversation about the iris. It would be fun to play with a peep sight on the 48 at some point...I got some more trigger time with the 48 in spite of the temperatures. This time I was shooting from a seated position with the target about 25 - 27 yards away. As I spend more time shooting this way I find that my trigger pull is totally different than when shooting from bags on the bench. I found when shooting from a seated position I took in the 1st stage as normal, but found myself pulling through the 2nd stage much more quickly given the "wandering" sight picture. Groups were mixed with this being by far the best target:And I have to say that NOT having the weight of the scope on top of the rifle has been nice... I looked up the UTG 3-12 compact that I sent back and it weighs 23 oz. Oh, the pellets were walmart Crosman hollow points.
Also seems Gehleman has a similar device for shorter sight length.$$$
Dennis,I had no idea that peep sights were so complicated! I like the science behind the AOS unit. Just had no idea it all was so expensive to implement.-Y
If AOS would make a version with 7/32 threading, I bet they would sell a lot of them..... -Y

How do you choose the right AOS and which ones will fit my factory FWB 300 sights? Thanks, justin
