Punched the wrong numbers on Dave's, thanks for catching that. You're correct, I'm sure Kelvin would have mentioned it. Special 342.
Any way you slice it Kelvin you have on heck of a 342. Never seen a stock .22 of any model post those kind of numbers. Be proud.

Be proud.I am, and thanks!I think Baker Air Guns had a 392P for sale on there site a few weeks back that stated 711 fps with lead pellets. This is just from memory so I'm probably wrong, could have been a .20 cal C9.In years past I do recall seeing the FPS numbers for the 392P as being consistently higher than most 342's and 392PA's.Seems like I read a post from Tim at Mac-1 somewhere stating that the tang safety 392P's were generally higher performing from the factory than all the other .22 variants.I'm lookin' to add one to my collection for sure. But who isn't HA!

I have a 342 that shoots (8 pumps) 662 fps (13.9 ft. lbs) with 14.3 gr. pellets and Sheridan rocker safety that shoots (8pumps) 647 fps (12.8 ft/lbs) with 13.73 gr. pellets. Both are stock and I've been very happy with these velocities. Usually I shoot the 342 with 4 pumps which yields 523 fps for 8.7 ft/lbs while I shoot the Sheridan with 4 pumps for 494 fps and 7.4 ft/lbs. I like shooting the Sheridan because I believe that the Williams aperture sight, combined with the slender front sight offers a superior sight picture than the 342 using the model 273 aperture sight and the shorter, wider front sight. However I love the 342 not only for the power that this small, handy airgun can generate but for the ease of pumping as well. Between the 342, the Sheridan and my 397P (787 fps 7.87 gr. for 10.7 ft/lbs), the 342 is by far the easiest to pump. Love the 397 too but the old trigger on it is waaaayyyy too long and creepy.
I can probably group them better using a slingshot. Numbers are averaged based on 5 shots at each # of pumps, though greatest deviation was on 8 pumps where I had a 6 FPS spread.3 pumps: 445 4 pumps: 5105 pumps: 5556 pumps: 5857 pumps: 6058 pumps: 630
