The O-ting groove looks mighty wide on that piston......Optical illusion ??
Mr. Trey,You ARE the 880 Man!
I rebuilt the 1987 880 and I am very pleased. I did the receiver bridge, Ron's trigger mod kit, Ron's abutment seal upgrade, sealed the barrel, and ditched the elastomer spring for a 1977 steel spring. It gained 30 FPS and is where I expected it to be power wise. I included a video, it is long but covers all the mods. and chrono test. I did a trigger pull gauge test after installing Ron's trigger mod that shows how sweet it is. BTW the receiver bridge mod allowed me to ditch the electrical tape on the buttstock and the stock is super tight. This is the tightest most solid feeling plastic stock 880 I ever seen. My wood 822s are tight but this one is as tight if not more so. LLLLAAAAWWWDDD at the end chrono test I said 362 instead of 632 lol.
i tried to find the ron's abutment seal upgrade but can't find it, and he has so many posts My guess is with the BPL upgrade the seals also could use an upgrade?
