I am wondering if any of you have any tips or suggestions for modifying or adjusting the evanix Rex / Rex P, what the best cast projectiles are with its micro-groove barrel, sources for specific replacement springs to adjust power up or down, etc..
Maybe there just isn’t much to say about these simple hunting-optimized guns. i see that back in 2016 someone started a thread on tuning and it was just getting interesting when it fizzled out.
I have not been in a position to do any methodical testing now, but when I am able to I want (among other things) to look into what I think was once called a “B Staley” (?) mod. folks do this with their AF condors - putting an o ring or some kind of bumper just behind the top hat. I believe this decreases spread and results in a longer string of more consistent shots on the AF guns. Rex is so similar I assume the same applies to it.

All kinds of shooting is fun… I don’t care if it’s a gun, if it’s got a trigger on it it’s fun.

Hi,
I'm new to the tech part of all of this... but maybe send Mr. Robert Lane an email? He seems to be one of the few vendors that'll even make mods for Evanix... here's a link to his Rex Rifle regulator:
https://laneregulators.com/evanix/evanix-rex-rifle-internal-pcp-regulator
I know i'm not really answering your question, but just wanted to share that, again, cause I've found it's difficult to find many folks who deal w/ Evanix.
Anyway, hope this helps some? 🙏
Edited to add: if you notice on the link above there's a drop down menu for calibers and they're all there. 👍
